Los Angeles producer/DJ Steve Huerta is back again with an impressive two track EP that just came out on the petFood imprint. Drawing from where he left off after his collaboration with Prince Club, ‘Do Good To Me’ follows a similar suit with tight percussion, swirling pads, nifty vocal stabs and a punchy square bassline. The second track on the EP ‘Revenge’ has all the characteristics you’d want for a set-starter, roof-top pool party, or a sunrise serenade. You can pick up the EP on Beatport.

In another tasteful move, Claude VonStroke and the dirtybird imprint have launched a new release dubbed dirtybird Players, “a showcase of all the key artists and upcoming talent on the label” and “an up-front taste of the full length compilation and world tour coming this Spring,” according to head bird, Claude VonStroke. In this 3-track sampler, we hear tracks from the young bird, Justin Jay, the OG bird, Worthy, and a third track from Birmingham duo, Cause & Affect, which CvS actually played out for weeks as an unmarked demo before actually realizing who it came from. All three tracks, as you can imagine, are √+, so preview now and pick it up on Beatport next Wednesday the 23rd.
