In a 24-hour period over the weekend, Seven Lions headlined the Avalon Hollywood, played EDC New York, and flew down to Orlando for his third show in a row. Following his run of phenomenal performances, he released his jaw-dropping Minnesota collaboration, “Fevers,” with the Mimi Page on vocal duty. The newest addition to Seven Lions‘ outstanding music catalog serves as a testament to his authenticity as a visionary artist striving for originality. In “Fevers,” he seamlessly merges Mimi Page‘s haunting vocals with powerful melodies and his signature bass-heavy sound for an emotional masterpiece unlike any other. In anticipation for his debut EP on Always Never, Crywolf has continued along his recent path of free releases and dropped his first single from the EP for free download on his Soundcloud. The track, entitled “The Moon Is Falling Down”, is a valiant introduction into Crywolf’s EP, showing off the vibe and extension of Crywolf’s production styles. A haunting and soft melody aided by vocals from Charity Lane (who appears on his previous free giveaway, “Silence Pt. II“) drops into a crashing and cascading drop that brings a surprising adrenaline rush to the track.

LA dubstep outfit SMOG has been making more regular appearances on the radio waves this year, from weekly podcasts on RinseFM coming out of their home-base “The Compound” to their feature on MistaJam’s Daily Dose. This week SMOG player SPL added his talents to the Daily Dose, bringing in a artillery of his own productions and remixes, along with plenty of new stuff from his record label Hollow Point Recordings, and of course a fine selection of bonafide SMOG tunes.
