After fantastic remixes of Ellie Goulding, Little Dragon & Beaumont, Clancy is really starting to hit his stride. Clancy is on point once again with his remix game, this time remixing the new Magician track “When The Night Is Over”. Clancy adds his signature deep components, extracting & layering just the right amount of vocals & dropping a monstrous, pulsating bassline for another deep, dark + sexy remix.
The Magician’s “When The Night Is Over” remix EP is out NOW with additional remixes by Brodinski, Claptone & Ejeca.
There has truly been some magic coming out of HeavyRoc studios lately. Our friends, Follow Me, gave Equal’s new track ‘Lost In The Evening’ a deep & disco take that is quite infectious. To top that combo off, the vocals are from Gary Jules, the voice behind ‘Mad World’ in Donnie Darko. Quite the special tune and perfect for a cruise.
After a huge response from the premiere of their single “Cold Nights” earlier this year, the Brooklyn-based duo Chordashian have been hard at work with forthcoming productions set to release from now into the new year. We have for you today their follow-up original entitled “Skyscraper Souls”, which takes the beautifully melodic vocals of Marie Seyrat from Freedom Fry and carries them along playfully deeper house chords all the way through. Fans of Tensnake and the French Express crew will be all over this one, so listen below and grab it for FREE!
Our very own aRod returns with another seasonal mix – FallGaze 2013. Whether it’s warm indie/disco sounds to fit the feel of the Indian Summer or darker, sexier deep house/minimal sounds to go with the cooler, moody feel of Autumn, this mix will fit whatever vibe you’re feelin’. The track list includes originals from Nadia Ksaiba, Hot Natured, LUXRY & Daniel Avery plus remixes by Diamond Cut, Grafton Primary, GRUM, Jonas Rathsman, PIXELATED and many more. Extra special shout out goes to the artists/labels/management who helped out with a few exclusives (Kaytranada’s remix of “Perfect Form” by Cyril Hahn and Joe Goddard’s remix of “Everything You Never Had” by Breach).
LISTEN. SHARE. ENJOY.
With one of the coolest A-sides (“The Music”) & AA-sides (“Pleasure Moon”) from the last year under his belt, along with being the man behind one of the all time best space disco opuses (“Take Em Up” by Shit Robot), it comes to no surprise that Marcus Marr (once again) delivers the goods. This time around he takes on “Safe With You” by Alex Metric & Jacques Lu Cont (one of the top tunes of 2013) and delivers a bassline that could liquify steel. Throw in some high-energy percussion and you’ve got yourself a sweaty + intense dance floor workout. Marcus Marr does it again…
As we make the transition from Summer to Fall, we’ve got a remix today which features two artists who befittingly capture the sound & feel of the seasonal transition. It’s Southern California versus Northern California. It’s sunshine versus haze. It’s the bright, bouncy feel of Summer transitioning into the dusky, seductive feel of Fall. It’s LA’s Goldroom getting the remix treatment from SF’s MyKill on the glorious track “Embrace”. It’s the best of both worlds on this deep, seductive yet still sunny remix. It’s the one time of the year when the guy in the beanie wearing a t-shirt & shorts doesn’t actually look too ridiculous…this track’s for you, bud.
Vibes on vibes on vibes with the latest addition to the Cassian remix repertoire. Not the mention the double trouble from down under with Owl Eyes and Cassian’s sounds on the same track. The dance element from Cassian sends Owl Eyes’ vocals off the deep end for one last kiss of Summer in this beach house anthem. As a part of the official remix package being released on October 18th, you can find this edit along with others from Goldroom, and Fractures, making this one of the heavier remix EP’s as of late.
Each time a new track is released from the LUXXURY Edit Series, it always feels as if the new one is the best one to date. The truth of the matter is, they’re all excellent edits. LUXXURY’s formula of accentuating the hidden treasures from the multitrack stems without the usage of too many modern tricks has made the LUXXURY Edit Series a very successful endeavor. Today we feature the 4th edit in the series of 12, an edit of the David Bowie classic “Golden Years”. The liquid bassline, swirling guitar & perfect added kick hit in all the right places to make this edit another slo-mo disco winner from LUXXURY.
Our friends over at the LA based Prep School Recordings welcome back the nu-disco artist SNBRN with his follow up “Sandy Shoes” EP, released today on Beatport. The summery vibe continues with two new original tracks, and this time SNBRN’s bringing vocalists Andrew Farr and Chris Hess of SWIMM along with him. These tracks capture a great way to send off the summer vibes and I’ve personally supported these tracks in sets to match that mood. Check them out below and keep everyones favorite season alive
