Continuing on with the season of giving, I just discovered this little gem today while reading my daily soundcloud front page. The ever-classic “Finally” from Ce Ce Peniston has seen countless remixes over the years, and this latest version from Playless successfully revives the anthemic tune once again. The infectious bassline takes you into the deep end while melodic chords keep it soulfully afloat. Great holiday vibes, and FREE for all!

After recently landing the #9 spot on Billboard’s Next Big Sound, Prep School Recordings chief Dr. Fresch has just released his self-titled EP today for FREE! The 4-track EP features blends of deep disco, garage, funky and infectious basslines with 100% vibes all the way through. Our favorite track on the release “Float” is a stand-out single for sure, with hard hitting bass and dark deep tones that make this a favorite to the likes of Justin Jay, Azari & III, Tensnake, and Hot Natured.

What happens when you take the silky smooth, sun-drenched vibes of Goldroom and put them in the hands of the Bixel Boys? Well, you end up with a sexy, big-booty, bass heavy version sure to make your grandma shake her rump. Both these acts of two of the hottest coming out of LA currently, and this is a testament to why. There is a free download in exchange for a ‘like’ below. Get amongst it.

The Luxxury Edit Series is shaping up to be one of 2013′s finest collections.  So far, the Edit Series has seen Luxxury take on Madonna, Foreigner, Simon & Garfunkel and David Bowie and he has succeed by taking a handful of classics & giving them new life, adding a slo-mo, dubby disco sound to each (while still maintaining the timelessness of the song).  This time around, on edit #5 of 12, Luxxury takes on disco kings The Bee Gees on their song “Night Fever”.  While many think of The Bee Gees as bubbly disco pop, some of their songs evoke more of a 70s AM rock feel…that sort of moody, melancholic, almost haunting feel that makes life seem like there’s an oversaturated yellow-orange filter covering it.  Luxxury brings the ominous feel of “Night Fever” to the forefront and delivers a chilling, laid back disco version of the song, perfect for the Fall season.

After fantastic remixes of Ellie Goulding, Little Dragon & Beaumont, Clancy is really starting to hit his stride.  Clancy is on point once again with his remix game, this time remixing the new Magician track “When The Night Is Over”.  Clancy adds his signature deep components, extracting & layering just the right amount of vocals & dropping a monstrous, pulsating bassline for another deep, dark + sexy remix.

The Magician’s “When The Night Is Over” remix EP is out NOW with additional remixes by Brodinski, Claptone & Ejeca.

There has truly been some magic coming out of HeavyRoc studios lately. Our friends, Follow Me, gave Equal’s new track ‘Lost In The Evening’ a deep & disco take that is quite infectious. To top that combo off, the vocals are from Gary Jules, the voice behind ‘Mad World’ in Donnie Darko. Quite the special tune and perfect for a cruise.

After a huge response from the premiere of their single “Cold Nights” earlier this year, the Brooklyn-based duo Chordashian have been hard at work with forthcoming productions set to release from now into the new year. We have for you today their follow-up original entitled “Skyscraper Souls”, which takes the beautifully melodic vocals of Marie Seyrat from Freedom Fry and carries them along playfully deeper house chords all the way through. Fans of Tensnake and the French Express crew will be all over this one, so listen below and grab it for FREE!
