NYC’s Gryffin is hopping back on the remix train after two successful offerings – his Years & Years “Desire” remix and his first Flight Log mix. For this latest undertaking, he’s drifted away from his house tendencies to transform Josef Salvat’s “Open Season,” which is sure to be a surprise for many of his fans. Gryffin has crafted soft synth plucks and new percussion around the original’s vocals, while keeping a mellow groove with a steady breakbeat foundation. Listen above!
We are all just strangers in the night.
The words given from the out-of-nowhere producer known as Stranger, who within a month has unloaded 4 original tracks along with remixes for Jack Ü and Must Die! for the OWSLA imprint. The sound of Stranger is low end driven house, with influences of breaks, garage, and bassline that go from zero to party real quick. On top of that, his new collaboration w/ Jamie Prado landed a world premiere on Tiesto’s club life podcast, taking things into deeper territory. Be on the lookout for Stranger, as I see massive moves to be made later this year…. grab his 4-track EP below for FREE download.
“Autograf got the finesse, they got the funk, they got the flava. The three F’s right there…”

A kick back swag with just enough bounce, clap, and funky bass to get the party started. Vibes run high with this one, with influences of Breakbeat, trip hop and house for good measure. Listen below and grab it when it drops June 1st!
Over the past week, we’ve seen an awesome union between our friends at Boomrat and OWSLA. Exclusive playlists from the likes of The M Machine, Valentino Khan and Yogi have paved the way for the grand finale: Skrillex. Nothing needs to be said of his prowess in all things electronic. Check out his curated collection of tunes that covers everything from melodic bass cuts to Drake.
After the success of their track, ‘That’s Right‘, which came out earlier this year on Mad Decent, Wuki and Jesse Slayter have teamed up once again to energize The Weeknd’s lullaby, Often. And in an exciting turn of events, it appears that Bmore is making a solid push to come back into the lime-light. It warms my nostalgic heart to hear the sounds of yesteryear seamlessly merging with the production prowess of the the present, and I tip my hat to these guys who are pushing the boundaries of dance music. Also, major kudos to Wuki, whose banner year hasn’t stopped as Jack U just included 3 of his tracks in their Diplo & Friends mix that dropped earlier this week. Expect to hear a lot more from these guys in 2015.
