With a big festival week on our hands, we went behind the emerald curtain and into the studio with Hook N Sling to watch him break down his recent remix of The Presets‘ “Fall”. From the synth leads to bassline, from buildup to the drop, watch (above) as the Aussie producer takes the original vocal and sends it straight to the main stage…
Crookers‘ Ciao Recs revealed its third release yesterday from Italian duo, Dilligas, who have put together a 2-track EP titled Loud in which Crookers collaborates on the title track. ‘Loud’ is an interesting mix of a Big Room anthem with a classic Crookers bounce, and the B-side “Slow Things Down” is literally all over the place with its BPM change-ups and wonky leads. Support already in from Diplo, Rustie, Craze, and of course, Crookers. Preview the EP below and pick it up on Beatport.
One of our favorite Aussies has just written his main stage answer to the summer. The man, the myth Wax Motif has yet again created a monster; this soars into a buildup only to then let you flail across a grinding and winding bassline through the entire track. The cosmic-like breakdown then lets you catch your brain before then pushing you out into a melodic finish. Definitely worth the FREE download below….
Our good buddy Ryan Lofty has taken quite a bit of time off from his busy schedule to encapsulate some of his favorite sounds perfect for the upcoming summer. He doesn’t stop there, almost every track in the mix is a slight edit of his own, putting his own signature touch on big room & prog house classics. This mix is not for the faint hearted nor the casual listen, so get ready to tear the walls down.
Welcome back to #FreeWillyWednesdays! We have a very special premiere for you today. Tittsworth and Willy Joy have teamed up to create a monster of a tune called “BAWSE”. As you can see from the generally insane artwork, the song is an homage to Rick Ross, fast food, porn and raves. It starts off with booming big room house drums, goes into a dirty-south-meets-dirty-dutch breakdown, and drops with enough heat to singe your eyebrows. Already seeing the support of some big name DJs, “BAWSE” should go in your peak time crate immediately.
As everyone knows now, the new Knife Party EP Haunted House is exactly the type of bone crushing production as we could have expected, with “Power Glove” proving that in its POTATO WILL EAT YOU exclusive premiere. BUT – there is something new that needs to be recognized. The standout tune for us on the release is LRAD, a hard hitting festival weapon that sounds like an evil brother to the overly saturated field of cookie cutter big room electro these days. This one is a whole ‘nother animal, expect this one to be pounded on main stages all summer long…

LRAD (CRNKN REMIX) – FREE DOWNLOAD
In the swarm of remixes that rapidly emerged after the EP was released, the LA via New Hampshire transplant CRNKN just smashed the cleanest of the crop. Fans of RL Grime or Flosstradamus will get what I’m talking about
It seems like just yesterday that our pal Clockwork put out his 15K Bootleg Pack, and just months later, the dude is over 52K likes on Facebook. Big up Henry. The new massive pack features a whopping 12 weapons out of his arsenal — all wrapped and ready for the big room.
Gentlemen Hall‘s “Sail Into The Sun” has not only infiltrated radio by being the backdrop to Samsung and Target commercials…its also become a bonafide Summer anthem. With cheery lyrics and a laid back attitude, it’s hard to not imagine bikinis and lakeside bonfires with this on in the background.
Three Chicago artists take a stab at the track on two separate remixes – Dani Deahl & Animale turn the track into a main room blitzer with Dutch-like synths that rise into a crescendo. It’s countered by blithe breakdowns with the plinking music-box sounds from the original and uplifting melodies, but it doesn’t stay silent for long. Expect to hear this one on the summer festival circuit, notably Dani’s performance @ EDC Chicago!
Chicago’s Sam Padrul capitalizes on the track’s breezy qualities and shifts it into a nu-disco jam. Replete with lush chords and dripping with funk, Padrul eschewed most of the supplied stems, opting to just use the vocals while writing all his own instrumentation. Catch a summer vibe on this one…
Every year countless business and personal relationships are born at WMC/MMW in Miami and this year that was certainly the case for MAKJ. Through the course of a few booze-fueled parties MAKJ met and befriended Belgian electro/techno duo Sound of Stereo, and after confessing to them that “Zipper” is still one of his favorite tracks to this day, the lads decided to relinquish the stems to MAKJ so that he could put his own twist on the track. The results are an uber-bouncy Melbourne House electro monster! Already supported by Hardwell on his HOA radio show, this one is ready for the weekend!
This Friday @ CONTROL, we welcome the Italian big room heavy weights Nari & Milani, who championed the festival sets with their massive single “Atom” last year. They are joined by UK monster duo MYNC, who too take things to main stage proportions. Supporting the night will be our own local phenom MAKJ and an opening set by Rico Rox. Things are gonna escalate quickly! This event will reach capacity early, so please RSVP below and arrive before doors to guarantee entry!
Please email names to RSVP@gottadancedirty.com to be on our discount guestlist for the evening. All names must be submitted by 5PM on Friday.
