Our good buddy Thee Mike B and his pal Dirty Dave have thrown together this absolutely stellar retrospective mix for your listening pleasure. If you’re a fan of dance music (safe assumption, seeing as you’re reading this) then I sincerely hope you’re taking the time to educate yourself on the origins of your favorite music. Whether it be Skrillex, Boys Noize, or Swedish House Mafia (RIP) that is your current flavor of the week, everything has a beginning, and this mix does an excellent job of exploring the origins of what’s currently blasting through your Beats by Dre.
Get the download from the artwork above and peep the track listing after the jump, and check those years behind those songs… I’m sure there are some readers out there who weren’t even born when some of these songs were made, and they sound just as good today as they always have. And don’t forget to stop by The Well’s site to thank them for having the guys put this mix together.
Welcome To The Jungle. Da Rockwilder. New Noise. Robot Rock. What do they all have in common? They’re epic fucking intro songs. If you’re a sucker for a good intro track (and you like Acid Haus) then I got just the thing for you. Night Symmetry‘s newest freebie STS has an amazing gradual build towards all out mayhem that is the defining ingredient for an opening song. If it’s 3AM, the crowd has begun to thin out, your DJ set is just about to start, and only the truly uncivilized are still out and about, throw this on. You won’t regret it.
Bonus surprise. The artwork above is actually a SoundCloud player of Night Symmetry’s new June mix! Get the tracklist after the jump!
Sorry for the brief Dirt hiatus folks. We’ve been all over the grid lately — Detroit, San Francisco, San Diego, Las Vegas, etc, but now we’re back on track and ready to bring you 10 tracks all for download each Thursday here on out. This week, I’ve teamed up with the youngest member of our family, Toks, for an eclectic collection of tunes that should tickle a bit of everyone’s fancy. Get into it. Continue Reading

Boynoize Records‘ newcomer, Gunrose (the current Resident DJ of Lisbon’s Lux Club) just dropped his first EP, Tears of Pleasure and it is nothing short of a stellar debut. Tears of Pleasure exhibits three massive Techno/Acid tunes that showcase great synthesis and song structure, not to mention they carry a groove that will get your heart pounding and your feet moving.
Every since the release of Kling KongAudionite has been a busy man; not only has the young producer been touring Europe but he also managed to produce a full-length studio album, Adjustment Path, which dropped yesterday on Boysnoize Records. The album is an experimental thrill ride, full of complex synthesis and groovy dark beats that will get your head bobbing. Make sure to keep an eye on Audionite and expect even bigger things from the brilliant producer in the future!
After a massive response from their hard-hitting bootleg of Funky Vodka, the rising duo NO BODY have answered back quickly with 2 remix versions for Wolfgang Gartner‘s newest single ‘Redline.’ The deluxe version features a certain anthemic vocal for those big room lovers, while the instrumental mix focuses on piping electro lead (similar to Nicky Romero’s ‘Toulouse’) that does justice to the cheesy chords of the original. Once again, NO BODY takes things to a higher and heavier level. Grab them both below, and decide which is your fav!
Our buddy Steve Slingeneyer, or One Man Party and the drummer of Soulwax, has a seriously admirable taste in music. Besides being the percussive force behind one of the greatest dance music acts of all time, Steve also enjoys a bit of DJing as well, much like his band mates the Dewaele brothers of 2ManyDJs fame. Driven by this love of DJing, One Man Party has just released a brand new mixtape featuring an unbelievably cultivated tracklist featuring Justin Martin, DJ Pierre, Justice, a few tracks from OMP himself, and everything in between. Download it for free and check out the exquisite tracklist below. √+Continue Reading

Our boy Henry Steinway, aka Clockwork, aka Big Sleazy (I made that one up), aka RL Grime just uploaded his thugged out version of Pacha On Acid – a gift to his fans for “manufacturing issues with the patches that came with the Grapes EP.” Either way, FREE TRAP HOUSE for us. Don’t stop git it git it.
