There are countries that are known to breed promising dance music talent, but there are few that come close to the quality output of the UK, and the High Wycombe/Leeds-based producer, Kiri, is a prime example of this. With releases on Symbols Recordings and Crown Duel‘s impressive new label, Bear Fresh, he has been making waves in the underground. Now Kiri takes on this week’s guest mix featuring a hefty load of UK garage/bass-styled tracks and new material for a peak-time vibe. Check it out below and keep Kiri on your radar.
The LA-native, Anthony Ellect, first caught my ear while browsing through SoundCloud last year, and I coincidentally ended up catching him opening up for Kastle and Gladkill at a Do LaB event a while back. Ever since then, I knew he was someone I’d like to feature on a guest mix. Now here he is with an hour of refined selections featuring smooth, bass-driven R&B, spacey hip-hop jams, and more. He’ll be releasing his new Blvd EP for free via Cosmonostro next Friday, the 23rd, so mark your calendars and enjoy this mix in meantime.

Oh boy I am very excited about the guest mix this week. One of my latest and most exciting discoveries is young French beat boy Phazz, and in this fine week of July he’s handed over an absolutely wonderful exclusive guest mix to us. Chock full of exclusives, intelligent re-works, and various unique up-and-comers, the mix explores the beat-based jambalaya of everything from jazz, R&B, and club influences and beyond. I see huge amounts of potential in Phazz, his work with vocal-pitching on remixes of Ryan Leslie and Cassie is really astounding and the direction he’s been taking as of late has a huge appeal.
You can stream and download his mix via our Soundcloud, and check out the tracklist and our interview with him after the jump. I predict big things from Phazz, really excited to see what’s next!
If you haven’t caught on by now that I hold LA-based label/collective Friends of Friends very near and dear to my heart, then you’re either slippin or just really don’t care. Well I’m just not OK with either of those. From their work with Boiler Room to cultivating the musical careers of left-field artists like LOL Boys, Groundislava, Shlohmo, Young Adults, and more, FoF have been making a well-deserved name for themselves since their beginning. The FoF-er that I bring to you today goes by the name of Epcot, who is not only part of the Friends of Friends team, but also runs Salva’s label Frite Nite. He came fresh with an exclusive guest mix for us chock full of artists who enjoy coloring outside the lines of house and techno; From Randomer to Sinden, acid to analog, Epcot keeps the vibe alive with an intelligent selection of provoking dance music.
You can stream and download his GDD Exclusive through our Soundcloud below, but be sure to check out Epcot’s and Frite Nite‘s Soundcloud as well. He’s also playing down at the Belly Up Tavern next week with a few other Frite Nite artists, details HERE.

I’ve been supporting them since day one in my sets, and these tracks go off huge for any crowd. Listen below and get ta’ groovin.

After a long hiatus, Phonat returned with the release of his excellent, forward-thinking Identity Theft EP on OWSLA just last week. The genre-defying producer/DJ now takes things one step further with his GDD™ Guest Mix that is nothing short of phenomenal. Phonat brings you through everything from vibey mid-tempo grooves to disco, and even some UK-tinged deep cuts. This generous offering is simply a must-have for any dance music fan. On deck for this week’s GDD™ Guest Mix is Los Angeles-based producer, Jean Raw, who has been churning out successful remixes over the past few months for names like Rhye, Sam Smith, and even Sly and the Family Stone. His musical selection tends to lean toward the emotional, sensual side of House music, bringing in deep, vocal vibes into much of this mix. If you’re into it, keep a close watch on this guy’s Soundcloud. Lots of potential in Jean Raw…
