Over the past couple of years, the San Francisco-based DJ/producer Atish has kept me captivated by his live sets and mixes. “Deep, emotive, [and] ecstatic” are all words that come to mind when trying to describe the aural journeys that he takes his fans on every time he plays. Today, Atish delivered his newest mix titled “Intuition,” which comes from his recent introspections. Much like his other mixes, this latest 1-hour offering features an on-point blend of deep and tech, moving between minimal, ethereal, and thought-provoking moments with optimistic and melancholic undertones. Enjoy and download the mix above. The tracklist and more insight into the creation of this mix from Atish himself can be found after the jump.
Aside from some scattered tour dates and his Boys Noize collab, it’s been a while since we’ve heard from the UK’s Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, but this has all changed very recently. On the first Friday of this month, the live act and producer/DJ launched his Rinse FM residency with Artwork as the guest, and just last week Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs delivered his second show of the run featuring Justin Martin on guest duties. On that most recent show he ran through a very eclectic blend of music, including The Mekanism’s “Acid Love,” Bjarki’s “I Wanna Go Bang,” some drum ‘n’ bass, funky jams, and more. Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs also surprisingly debuted a brand new song, but he didn’t mention the name, so all we can do now is enjoy and speculate. Enjoy the show below and watch out for the song debut at the 1:36:00 mark.
Tune into Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs’ next Rinse FM shows each Friday for the rest of September here.
If you’re looking for something dreamy & cosmic, our girl Zosia has got you covered. Her latest live poolside mix is taken from her recent set at the WAVEY pool party series held in DTLA’s Hotel Figueroa (and hosted by Dim Mak & The Well). Zo’s mix is what poolside dreams are made of. Except, instead of UBERing to the pool party, you fly in on a pegasus & upon arrival, you’re dropped down into a heart shaped pool filled with champagne & glitter. Or at least that’s how this mix will make you feel. It’s an endless journey up through the clouds & down inside a pool of stars…
…or something like that.
Someone or something has been making a disturbance in the neighborhood… a STRANGER. In only the past few months, this mysterious producer has criminalized dance music as we know it, churning out severely low end driven house with elements of garage, bassline, breaks, fidget and ghetto tech. We finally caught the culprit, and sentenced him to the GDD™ Guest Mix, which he has delivered to us in the form of an hour packed with new originals and remixes and from himself and friends alike. Keep an out for Stranger, because you don’t know if he’s watching you.

The Summer season is ripe for The Interns as they return with the third installment of The Interns Present mixtape series, this time reviving the signature soul that pushed their debut tape to over 50,000 plays in it’s 8 month tenure online. It’s the sound that’s come to define their live sets as they’ve rocked pool parties at The Standard DTLA and Hotel Figueroa, respectively, post Spring solstice in 2015.
With a slot at EDC Las Vegas 2015 now in the books, and a handful of gigs up and down the California coastline, things are just starting to heat up for the boys and they’re not showing any signs of letting up!
As for ‘Wet Hot Los Angeles Summer’ you can hear the influence of many late nights on the dance floor and long days in the festival circuit. The mix is really an homage to the sounds that inspire them to get up and dance combined with the cult classic movie set to make its return later this year. It’s perfect for those looking for a spicy afternoon soundtrack or some late night fun as it offers some insight to the non-Angeleno’s on how to get after it, Southern California style. Listen above and download the mix here.

Dear lord it is entire too hot for house music right now… at least in LA. On the real, its nice to pump the breaks on the dancefloor jams for a minute and take a minute to smell the flowers, and the indie rock and other stuff. This 20-track playlist united Colby J. + brohlson and it does not disappoint. From Leon Bridges to Thundercat, theres a whole lot of fun packed into this bad boy, but no house music. BC its too damn hot!!!
We kick off the #MDW2015 with a special edition of the GDD™ Guest mix, brought to you by the New York native Tony Quattro – whipping up a massive hour of bass heavy house and jackin appeal. Get ready to dig deeper, as Tony features forthcoming singles and collaborations with the likes of Bot, Stanton Warriors, and even some still a mystery! Grab this one below and kick the holiday weekend off proper.
