While at Electric Zoo the other weekend we stopped by the Bingo Players’ set on the mainstage Saturday and briefly chatted with them after the show about Hysteria, new Bingo Players music and who would win in a DJ Faceoff. Check it out below…
Over the past couple weeks we have been re-living the best moments of Electric Zoo (and there are many) but some of my favorite moments were hanging out with a couple of the acts and hearing from them firsthand what they’re up to and what we can expect over the next few months. One of the first interviews I did was with Hardwell. Check out what he had to say about Tiesto, a controversial bootleg package, Sensation and more below.
It’s hard to believe that September is now upon us. The summer here in the Northern Hemisphere is coming to a slow-rolling close, but September also brings along Insomniac’s Nocturnal Wonderland — a spectacle of an experience located here in Southern California at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino. This year, GDD™ has teamed up with Insomniac and our friends at Vagabond to curate the lineup for the WIDE AWAKE Art Car which is fully equipped with a mobile Funktion One sound system and will be roaming about the festival grounds on Friday the 21st. Vagabond’s Ahh-G has put together a mix to portray the vibe we’ll be going with as we roll around the NOS Center, and he’s included some exclusive, unreleased new material from the likes of Prince Club, Urulu, Astronomar, and more. Make sure to pick up your tickets to the festival here, and snag this mix and tracklist after the jump. Continue Reading
This weekend Electric Zoo is back in the Big Apple and we decided to highlight the best of the afterparties. Even if you didn’t grab tickets to the Zoo itself, you can still catch some of the biggest names after hours at both the Best Buy Theater and the Roseland Ballroom. Check out who is performing and where after the jump!
Labor Day is finally here, and it’s looking like it’s going to be a beautiful weekend by the beach for this year’s Pacific Festival in Newport Beach. A “new musical experience at a seaside venue,” Pacific Festival aims to offer a festival experience unlike any other that you’ll find this holiday weekend, as the location is absolutely unique and the producers have curated talent this year to specifically cater to a beachside vibe. As you might have noticed, we’ve changed up the event flyer to highlight our favorite dance acts that will be performing this Sunday, so to see the full lineup as well as information on the PRE and AFTER PARTIES happening Saturday and Sunday nights at Detroit bar, read on…
Tickets available for purchase HERE. ($5 off with ‘GDD’ discount code!)
This coming weekend marks the fourth year that the Electric Zoo Festival will take over Randall’s Island in New York and we can’ t wait! We at Gotta Dance Dirty have compiled our guide to the festival including our artist picks, thoughts on the app, and our top choices for after parties below. Keep an eye out for GDD’s own Burn Unit & Olyvia, who wrote this handy guide up for you, and if you’re wearing GDD merch they just might have some stickers for you. Check it all out after the jump… – Olyvia
Want to win free tickets to the East Coast’s premier Electronic Dance Music festival (forgive my geography, but I don’t count Miami as the East Coast)? Of course you do. Gotta Dance Dirty is giving you the chance to win a pair of tickets for you and a friend to FRIDAY of Electric Zoo 2012 this coming Labor Day Weekend. Please only enter if you’ll actually make it to the festival, would be a shame for us to pick a winner and have no one be a part of this amazing experience.
Wear your Gotta Dance Dirty apparel and you just might run into Burn Unit and score some free stickers! Just follow the directions after the jump to enter through PunchTab, and we’ll notify the winner on Friday the 24th!
Pretty big one.
HARD Summer at the LA State Historic Park in Downtown Los Angeles is right around the corner, and with 2 days, 4 stages and one of the biggest, most diverse lineups HARD has ever put together, it’s safe to say that this year’s festival may be the best HARD production (on land) to date.
Set times have just been released this morning via the HARD Summer Website, so make sure to head over there to get your nights scheduled. Some tough acts are going head to head, but with the landscape of the festival grounds providing for easier movement about the festival, I think we’ll all be able to catch a bit of everything we need to.
Have a look at my personal Top 5 Picks of each day as well as 4 installments of the Hard Summer Mixtape series after the jump! Continue Reading
3 day and single day passes available now, here. After popping my #EZoo cherry last year, I highly recommend never missing this festival. Do it.
