As summer chugs along and the dog days approach the temperature only continues to rise out here on the Best Coast. Expect a massive heat wave to hit this Thursday though as the mad Belgian scientists known as Mumbai Science descend upon the Mile High City to start their mini 2011 Summer Tour that will see them lighting up clubs from the Rockies to the Bay to the Border as they drop festival firestarters like ‘Ancova‘ & ‘Gold‘ in intimate venues like our very own Versus (August 4th!)

Having the chance to see this rising act, that now routinely plays for 1000s, in relatively small venues is an experience and opportunity you probably won’t have again as their ascent to stardom continues, so make sure you get yo’ tickets for one of these 7 gigs while you can! Along the way they’ll be getting support from longtime GDD™ backed Canadian John Roman, Aussie insane-asylum-escapees Bareback DJ’s, the lovely Brazzabelle, our very own ///BONES and various local talent in each city. More details including dates and ticketing links (and some tunes) after the jump! Oh and if you don’t remember our interview/mix with Mumbai, peep it over here!

The Tipper Sound Experience, along with the incredible NeXuS Funktion-One Soundsystem, will be descending on San Francisco next Friday, July 8th. The man behind the experience, Dave Tipper, draws from his classical training to create a diverse pallet of music served for your listening indulgence. He is most widely known for his expertise in Breaks, specifically his own unique, psychedelic style of mixing organic sounds with electronic beats, but he also maintains variety in his sets with downtempo and Hip-Hop. Tipper’s interest in sound production has led to creation of this show, which is said to be “an immersive sound environment that transforms the dance floor into an ethereal field of holographic sound”.

Santa Cruz-based Vital Events, who earlier this year assembled an all-star lineup of Nero, Skrillex, Datsik, and 12th Planet under one roof, is bringing dubstep godfathers Skream and Benga alongside drum ‘n’ bass lord Sub Focus to San Jose on Thursday, June 23rd. Early bird tickets went on sale last Saturday, but if you’d like to try your luck at a pair on us, then fire up your Facebook and Twitter accounts and read these directions carefully.

Facebook: Like Gotta Dance Dirty and Vital SC on Facebook? Good. Tag us both in a Facebook post and let us know who you’re most excited to see.

Twitter: Retweet this and make sure you’re following us.

One lucky contestant will be randomly selected from both the Facebook and Twitter posts with the winner declared in one week. Now, if you aren’t sold on the idea of seeing these three heavy-hitters in action, then bear witness to Skream and Benga as Magnetic Man for their US debut as a group this year at Coachella.

Good luck!
