Out last month on Noisia‘s Division Recordings, the debut album from Neosignal is a force of nature. An interesting mix of glitch-hop, dubstep, techno and DnB, the 15 track LP is diverse yet tied together by the duo’s hardcore German aesthetic that is unequalled is sound or style. “Raum und Zeit,” which is german for ‘time and space’, already has support from the likes of Amon Tobin, Skrillex and Noisia and with no signs of slowing down it will be interesting to see what these guys come out with next. One thing is certain though, their live show is gonna be dope and I can’t wait to see them stateside!

In a 24-hour period over the weekend, Seven Lions headlined the Avalon Hollywood, played EDC New York, and flew down to Orlando for his third show in a row. Following his run of phenomenal performances, he released his jaw-dropping Minnesota collaboration, “Fevers,” with the Mimi Page on vocal duty. The newest addition to Seven Lions‘ outstanding music catalog serves as a testament to his authenticity as a visionary artist striving for originality. In “Fevers,” he seamlessly merges Mimi Page‘s haunting vocals with powerful melodies and his signature bass-heavy sound for an emotional masterpiece unlike any other. Listen/download below (lyrics after the jump).

The Foundation, is just that. It’s me going back to my roots of dub, hip hop and acid. It’s my modern take of decades of music I grew up with infused with electronic music (elements).”

-David Heartbreak

This EP is seven tracks of big, brutal, gangster ass reggae vibes.  Melding dub, reggae, acid, trap, electro and everything in between; David Heartbreak stretches his musical roots with an incredibly diverse and engaging sonic pallet.  Perfectly suited for OWSLA, who just keeps supplying us with the goodies this week.

In anticipation for his debut EP on Always NeverCrywolf has continued along his recent path of free releases and dropped his first single from the EP for free download on his Soundcloud. The track, entitled “The Moon Is Falling Down”, is a valiant introduction into Crywolf’s EP, showing off the vibe and extension of Crywolf’s production styles. A haunting and soft melody aided by vocals from Charity Lane (who appears on his previous free giveaway, “Silence Pt. II“) drops into a crashing and cascading drop that brings a surprising adrenaline rush to the track.

You can listen to and download the track below, as well as purchase the whole EP on iTunes, Beatport, and pretty much every other place you buy music. Click after the jump to stream the rest of the tracks on the album as well!

After releasing his remix of The Neighbourhood’s “Sweater Weather,” Vaski quickly follows up with a brand new original in collaboration with Betty Borderline on vocals. “Baddest” is a fusion of house and dubstep driven by a gritty bassline, tribal drums, and Betty’s call-to-action lyrics. Vaski continues on his venture in the more up-tempo realm without diminishing his bass-heavy roots. Purchase “Baddest” on Beatport and keep an eye out for a remix competition.

LA dubstep outfit SMOG has been making more regular appearances on the radio waves this year, from weekly podcasts on RinseFM coming out of their home-base “The Compound” to their feature on MistaJam’s Daily Dose. This week SMOG player SPL added his talents to the Daily Dose, bringing in a artillery of his own productions and remixes, along with plenty of new stuff from his record label Hollow Point Recordings, and of course a fine selection of bonafide SMOG tunes.

You can listen to (and download) the mix below, and if the immensity of the track selection is any indication to the year ahead for SPL, it’s gunna be a heavyyyy one…

It’s March. Jesus. Just about that time where everyone’s well into the swing of their year (at least they better be), which means it’s time for me to interrupt your regularly programmed schedule and shake things up a bit. GDD’s guest mix gets dark and heavy this week. Like… really dark and heavy. Que me grinning and doing this. Enter Kelly Dean.
