After the chaos, destruction and delays that the east coast experienced with Sandy, I wanted to reminisce about the fantastic events I saw before the storm and hope that, with power restored and aid dispatched, all these great events can continue. Lets all cross our fingers that this Nor’easter headed our way doesn’t worsen the situation!
New York
It’s Hallo-week and we here at Gotta Dance Dirty have put together THE best Halloween events that you need to see in NYC. We’re also on the prowl for some bad-ass and super sexy costumes, so if you plan on going to Knife Party, NERO or Rusko this weekend get at me: @thethreewise
Sensation “Innerspace” is here! With 12 years, 2 million attendees and 20 countries under their belt, ID&T is finally bringing the well-known event to US soil. To be held at the brand new Barclays Center in Brooklyn tomorrow and Saturday, the event promises to be a memorable experience to say the least.

CMJ rolled through town last weekend and we got a taste of almost everything the city-wide festival had to offer. However, one showcase in particular rose above the others in a party I soon won’t forget….
It was a perfect fall night as I walked a few blocks from my Manhattan apartment to the Hammerstein Ballroom at 34th and 8th Ave, listening to my newest downloads and getting pumped for the night. Justice was in the Big Apple and you better believe I was going to see them…no matter what.
The CMJ Festival is in town this weekend along with hundreds of artists in events and showcases around the city! Don’t miss out on some of the best ones below:
Webster Hall continues to be one of my favorite venues in New York City and this past Friday was no exception. After getting word that there would be a secret guest I made my way over to the historic club and hoped for an interesting night. With a line-up consisting of Crizzly and Alvin Risk and armed with the knowledge that Skrillex was in town, I prayed that I would finally get to witness a rare surprise Skrillex set like other GDD writers had seen before me.
Check out this weeks event roundup! It may be getting cold and grey here in New York, but these events are sure to keep things interesting.

Last weekend in New York it seemed like there was one name on everyone’s lips, Danny Avila. The Spanish teen prodigy recently made his NYC debut with a weekend full of events and we were lucky enough to catch his performance at two.
