If you’re looking for that one special Halloween track that is going to make all the beezies bounce, this is it. Brooklyn’s Codes and LA’s Flinch have combined forces across the country to produce a bass house tune that exemplifies both of their strengths. In ‘The Skeleton Bounce’ you can hear the heavy dub style of Flinch while Codes funky and upbeat vibes scream party. The guys have accompanied the song with an animated video perfect for projecting on the walls of your house tonight.

A few months ago I was introduced to the up and coming Australian producer, Thomas Jack. With an affinity for deep house accompanied by amazing saxophonist Adrian Symes and epic historical speeches, Thomas has made a name for himself recently with several free to download releases, most reaching the top of the Hypem charts and garnering support from DJs the world over. His most recent track “Symphony” is a showcase in why Thomas is definitely one to watch, check it and a few of our other favorites by him below!
The Golden Pony, our favorite Disco duo based in Brooklyn are back with another remix to add to their Golden Classics series! This time the guys take the new wave classic from Tears For Fears and add their own disco and funk stylings. Check it out below and grab the DL today! And if you missed it the first time, their Simon & Garfunkel Remix is also top notch.
And don’t miss The Golden Pony live at BangOn!NYC’s baller Halloween event Warehouse of Horrors at the end of the month!
A couple months ago I happened to catch a ridiculous set by Felix Da Housecat at one of Bang On NYC‘s legendary parties. As a budding DJ and self proclaimed tech geek I wanted to know what he was using to mix with and was pleasantly surprised to find that Felix has taken up Traktor. So when Native Instruments reached out to offer me a chance to check out some of their gear, you bet I said yes!
I. Love. Blende.
Out yesterday on Win Music, “Rikki” has huge vocals, disco grooves and a feel good vibe that I just don’t feel often enough in music anymore. This is the type of song that everyone on the dancefloor drunkenly sings along to at 2 am and you put on repeat during roadtrips with your best friend. If music like Blende’s was on the radio…I might actually listen to the radio. Instant classic and my new disco anthem for fall.

I remember hearing about the Trouble & Bass crew years ago when I was at college in southern Virgina, just starting to get into electronic music and captivated by their exotic heavy bass and dark gotham aesthetic. Now, years later, I am so happy to call all of them my friends and to celebrate their monumental 7th anniversary.
Drop The Lime, Star Eyes and AC Slater have been straight hustlin’ the past 7 years and with so many amazing releases, the best fucking parties I’ve been to in Brooklyn and a Culture Clash win under their belt, it’s clear that this crew dominates crypts to clubs. To celebrate they’ll be hitting the west coast to perform this weekend and have shared this dope mix from AC Slater to get you ready to rave to the grave T&B style.
Holy Shit. Inner City is rolling into NYC tomorrow night to play a once in a lifetime live event for our buds at Rinsed! Seeing as they haven’t done this sort of thing in well over a decade, this is easily going to be the party of the weekend. So to get ready for what’s about to go down I’ve put together a few of my favorite Inner City tracks for your nostalgic listening pleasure after the jump.
