Last night, for the very first time, Disco legend and arguably the father of modern dance music, Giorgio Moroder, performed at the Output club in Brooklyn for the Red Bull Music Academy. Best known for his work with Donna Summer, Freddie Mercury, David Bowie and Daft Punk and scores for Scarface and Flashdance, Moroder drew hundreds out to BK for this landmark performance…and we were one of the lucky few who got to witness it first hand!

There’s not a whole lotta info about up and coming producer, LEVI, aside from the fact that he’s French. There must be something in the water over there though because this Obligation EP is some dope shit. Driving beats mixed with Justice like grunge, progressive meodic synths and funky grooves amke this 3 track EP diverse and delicious.  Take a listen below and make sure to grab it —> here!

Coyote Kisses, the florida based “space punk” duo, are back with Thundercolor, a 4 track EP that dropped last week! The EP is their most ambitious work yet, featuring a variety of sounds from the mellow and appropriately named “Diving at Night,” to the shimmery yet dubby “Stay With You,” the funky electro-country vibe of “This is How You Know” and the sublime melodic intensity of “Changing Guard.” Definitely worth a listen…and make sure to grab the free download of “Changing Guard” from their facebook!

If you missed out we featured his mix for Marble Music a few days ago and don’t forget to check out his selection of timeless tracks below… Continue Reading

Have you heard of Curses! yet? Because if not, you really really need to….As the latest project from a big underground bass name (just try and guess who…), Curses can only be described as delectably dark deep house. I’ve seen him a few times around the NYC underground and he is easily one of my new favorites for 2013. Just check out his latest mix for French music platform, Marble, below and try not to dance…

Last Saturday we returned once again to one of our favorite haunts, Webster Hall NYC. Check out what went down after the jump!
