Once dubbed by the holy Pete Tong as “Brazil’s answer to Daft Punk,” the latin synth lords are at it again with almost an hour of music for the already famous Solé Bicycles: Fixtape Series. This tape in particular is a great collection of italio-disco with heavy synth chords, jazzy percussion, and funky basslines. I feel like I’m in a late 80s dancehall taking crazy pills and wearing pants that match the wallpaper in your grandma’s bathroom; which is a GREAT thing. As always, the production & selection onfthe mix is sublime. Thank you, The Twelves, we’re always itching for more.

It’s rare that I personally stumble upon trance I like. But when it sounds like this, and comes with an acre plot of land on the moon, It’s hard to argue. If you could imagine what 80s coke trance would sound like with a killer bassline; welp, this is your answer. Each track is a journey through space and time, meticulously produced, and quite frankly, out of this world. So if you like good music, or hate this world & need to move to the moon, I highly suggest you purchase this limited vinyl EP of 500 copies. You’re sure to have some epicly weird neighbors up there…
Good buddy, and one hell of a producer, Mr. Option 4, fresh and hot out of Denver has just released his newest jam entitled ‘All the Girls’. It’s quite the deep-driving sound he’s known for, and if i didn’t know any better, the type of sound that really does get all the girls on the dance floor. Use this as a hidden weapon in your arsenal of dance tunes, its guaranteed to get the bodies moving.
Another month, and another fixtape from our friends over at Solé Bicycles. This time they chose French Horn Rebellion to head the tape. They are two brothers that were born in Milwaukee & currently reside in Brooklyn. When Robert told the Chicago Civic Orchestra to F off, he created French Horn Rebellion and decided to lay down his own funky beats instead. It was a great move, as the sounds speak for themselves. This tape is very intricate & lively. There is never a dull moment, nor an instrument forgotten. We can’t wait to see what the boys come up with next. Now speed off into the future and get immersed in the weird, weird world around you.
Another Month, another Solé Bicycles fixtape mix, another reason to be excited on this Monday that is currently being ruled by the marine layer floating just over my house. But fear not, rain or shine, Zimmer has concocted the ideal ingredients to put some funk in your phalanges and keep your mood sunny no matter what the weatherman says. The first half of the tape consists of rarities & new jams residing in the disco territory as the tape progresses things and gets a bit more housey. Dig in & vibe on, this one feels very good.

My favorite psyche-rock experimental group, American Royalty, is preparing for their massive release of the ‘Prismatic Remixes EP’ out July 9th on Guns In the Sun Records, featuring the likes of Jerome LOL, Kaytranada, Urulu, Steffi Graf, Drop the Lime, & Romaj. The amount of up-and-coming talent associated with this EP is downright ridiculous. Grab your knickers, fill up some chi chi, and get ready for the boogie woogie. First up is the deep funk mix by wonder duo Steffi Graf with just the right amount of vocal interlude right in the middle. Groove with your hips and talk with your hands.
I had a chance to swap back and forth a few questions with Aussie mysterious wonder kid, Touch Sensitive this past week, hoping to learn more about his emulating elusiveness. Turns out he’s quite a cool cat, humble, and has a passion for music that is truly breathtaking. With massive releases such as ‘Real Talk’ & ‘Pizza Guy’, Touch Sensitive has enjoyed his time on the top of the beatport charts, but now its time dive into the deep end, and learn a little more about the man behind the music.

Future Classic‘s own, Touch Sensitive isn’t a sound, it’s a feeling. It’s served frothy, always smooth, and imported strait from down under. With a wardrobe only to match the intricacy of his sounds, a beautiful music mosaic is formed. Ascending and descending melodies paired with funky bass will have you cruising in the sun-kissed rays in no time. It’s time to eat some pizza, get sensitive, see sounds, and listen to colors because when this tape is over, you’ll swear you might have drank a little too much of that serotonin smoothie.
Oh, did i forget to mention this is the solo project of Mikey from Van She?

Our good buddy Ryan Lofty has taken quite a bit of time off from his busy schedule to encapsulate some of his favorite sounds perfect for the upcoming summer. He doesn’t stop there, almost every track in the mix is a slight edit of his own, putting his own signature touch on big room & prog house classics. This mix is not for the faint hearted nor the casual listen, so get ready to tear the walls down.
