We love it when our pals team up and create something awesome. Solé Bicycles collaborated with Snowball, as they gear up for their unique & massive festival in Denver, to bring you a special fixtape from one of our favorite acts performing this year; Chrome Sparks. The music that Chrome Sparks has been putting out is nothing short of spectacular, layered with several mood-laced elements that have always picked us up, or better yet, put us down when we needed to chill. This tape in particular is very reminiscent of a journey through time, starting out very slow and ambient, finally stretching into a warmer flow where we can really let the music embody our soul and power our actions around mid-day. Let this tape guide you, excited to see where it takes us on our journey.

Looking for a bit harder indie-electro version of The Knock’s catchy anthem ‘Comfortable’? Well, look no further. Ben Negative has put his personal spin on the track, receiving heavy support from The Knocks boys themselves. Listen to this one with headphones; your puny labtop won’t do the roaring, rolling bass any justice.

Get familiar with Graff. Once sharing the same moniker as Steffi Graf, past world rank number 1 in tennis singles for a record 377 weeks, the German might be sad a name change has taken place. Not many know about this duo, and they might like to keep it that way; at least for a little. über agent and super sober world explorer, Sir Latane Hughes, teamed up with his best, yet mysterious & sheik mate, Antone Proler, embarking on a journey gracing the lands with their electrifying house sets. Anyone who has seen them live know how special this tandem really is. Flawless transitions, vast creativity, and only the hottest new tracks from their secret vault guarded by sloth from the goonies, always makes for something special.

We know big things are coming from these boys, so we jumped on asking them to make a tape now before they are number 1. They did not disappoint. Clocking in at just over 2 and a half hours chocked full of amazing samples and a very eclectic track-listing, the creativity is unmatched, and you’ll be on grooving’ anywhere. Take this one for a long ride and let the the future legendary beats fill your soul. Be on the lookout for a full original EP in the next few months.

NYC based psych-pop trio American Royalty had an eventful 2013, releasing their popular Prismatic and subsequent Prismatic Remixes EP’s, the latter featuring Jerome LOL, Kaytranada, Urulu, Romaj and Drop The Lime. With a similarly large 2014 ahead, the band ( Marc Gilfry, Billy Scher and Matt Ungson) are performing a headline show at Brooklyn’s Baby All Right on Thursday 13th February, accompanied by Ghenis Hans. As a precursor to the show, American Royalty have remixed fellow Brooklynites Body Language, chopping up their jam “Well Absolutely” with signature American Royalty percussion.  You can listen to the remix via THUMP HERE, and grab a free download of the stellar effort over at the band’s Facebook page.

Dark-&-Stormy-Album-ARt
Our very own Tropicool has released his latest tape which might be his smoothest musical mosaic to date. Tropicool is known for his extensive and carefully curated tracklistings always curating a very special & intimate vibe with just the right amount of funk. This tape in particular transitions from funk, into piano driven sexy house, and ends with some very deep tones sure to have you swimming in your own puddle. Deeper than his previous work, but just as infectious, this one is perfect served with a whiskey and reserved for an intimate occasion. Enjoy responsibly.

The Knocks are on fire. Their newest single ft. Connie Mitchell of Sneaky Sound System is an electro pop hit we’re dying to see live. Filled with infectious hooks, driving basslines, and of course Connie’s signature sexy vocals, we’re quite mesmerized. Out February 18th on Neon Gold Records.

Bixel Boys will not stop until they’re sponsored by Nike #freelife, and then they’ll probably hit the ground running even faster. Their latest remix for Kayper is self-desribed as ‘Deep Booty Bass’ and we must oblige. Definitely a tool for DJs trying to make the ground shake and the booty break during their big room sets, while still keeping moody vibes. Have fun with this one, I know we definitely will.
