The UK born collaboration of Chris Lake & Chris Lorenzo struck us right in the feels at the end of last year with their Wicked Games cover, and now take things into the club with their new original “Piano Hand”. Premiered by Annie Mac on her BBC Radio 1 Show, “Piano Hand” features a slick bass line groove, quirky cutup vocal samples, and a very speed garage-influenced sound very characteristic of Chris Lorenzo. Listen below, and pick it up today on Beatport!

“It’s a four minute twenty five second rippling beat opus that soars and whooshes but holds down the tempo, using the keys and the Armand Van Heldenesque beat builds and rave snares to push it into the strobelights.” – DMC World Magazine

Astronomar’s Horoscope Readings #2:

AriesIf your weekly party is a bit slow this week, don’t take it out on the few people that showed up. Maybe they were one of the few attendees that retweeted you.

GeminiDon’t sugar coat your bio; just because a big DJ downloaded from your private link doesn’t mean that they are supporting your track.

CapricornTry not to name drop this week; you may have an encounter that will make you feel foolish if you say the wrong thing.

SagittariusDon’t let your insecurity stifle your progress. Much like WeTransfer links, sometime the best things are only available for a small window of time.

LeoIf you find yourself in a Twitter beef, get your point across clearly then let your silence speak. It’s important to use negative space not only in your tracks, but in your timeline as well.

CancerBe careful of the person that comes up and train spots every track you drop; and certainly do not accept any drinks from them. Sure Irish Car Bombs are hella good, but how are you gonna feel when you are puking in the bathroom, your ride is long gone an your USBs are missing?

Pisces – If you find yourself in need of a good laugh this week, just look at the the soundcloud accounts of negative commenters.. LOL they ain’t doin shit! Keep your head up homie!

AquariusEverything comes full circle. If you are looking for tracks to spice up your set this weekend, look back into the past for some forgotten classics. the new kids won’t know what it is and will assume it’s a dub

LibraIf you find yourself spending more & more gig money on Ubers when it’s obviously a walkable distance, save your money and walk and use the extra loot to boost the post promoting your next gig.

ScorpioDon’t always take things at face value. just because some DJ has insane social stats that doesn’t mean that anyone who actually matters respects them or fucks with them.

TaurusIn order keep your output strong this week, you need to know your weaknesses. pay for proper mastering instead of sending out home masters; the chances of getting a spin from Diplo or Skrillex are infinitely higher if your track sounds great.

VirgoNever lose your experimental spirit. try a new softsynth or compressor this week.

Armand Van Helden – Work Me! (Gadamit) (Astronomar copycat re-drum)
I love the original track so much, but wanted a beefier version for the club.. so I made an edit mimicking all the sequencing, but added some heavier drums.. enjoy!

Astronomar’s Horoscope Readings #1:

Scorpio:
You may feel like collaborating, but finishing solo projects might be the thing that will maintain a balance in your output

Capricorn:
Be grateful.
The sting from a hair being pulled out by a wristband is a small price to pay for a night of free partying.

Libra:
Stay humble; don’t become a dick just because Skrillex played your remix at Ultra main stage.

Leo:
Take a moment to realize what side of the fence you are on.
The DJ booth if for the DJ. If you aren’t DJing or the DJ’s manager you have no business in the booth.

Aries:
Take your chances; You will never know if he’s down to repost your new track if you don’t ask him.

Cancer:
Take note of the liberties you’ve earned while social climbing ; just because you know the promoter doesn’t mean you can ask for a +4 one hour before the club opens. Thats just rude and you know better. This isn’t your first rodeo.

Aquarius:
Patience is key, people will respond to your promos.

Virgo:
Maintaining a balance is really important for you this week.
It might be a good idea to have a glass of water between every double shot of Fireball.

Pisces:
If it is uniformity you seek, maybe cutting in line because you “know the DJ” isn’t a good look. Keeping things in order will bring a certain level of peace to your life.

Taurus:
Communication is vital for you this week.
Don’t be afraid to reach out to your favorite DJs for feedback on your new track.

Gemini:
Get to know people! You don’t want to be asking yourself; “Does he really want to bootleg my track, or does he just want my stems?” The answer should be obvious if you know the person asking.

Sagittarius:
Be driven but don’t force it; asking people at the club to follow you on Soundcloud is a no-no!

Sydney based Acaddamy has picked up huge momentum on the airwaves thanks to his single “I’ve Been Waiting” on EtcEtc Music, but now gets a huge overhaul in the remix department by Portland based Jason Burns. Taking the haunting vocals of the original, Jason Burns dives into darker territory as he’s known for – giving it a taste of garage and a deeper bassline. Aside versions from MSCLS and Lyndon Kidd, the Jason Burns cut is our clear front runner on the package.

And we’re not the only ones hyped on it – the remix already has early support from AC Slater, Kokiri, Yuri / Database (Kitsune), Vaden (Rinse FM), Ookay, LCAW, Ben Drumsound (Drumsound & Bassline Smith), Chuckie, Icarus.

Saint and UNIIQU3 might have a fair bit of geographical distance between them, but the two musicians are good buddies, having worked together in the past already. They came together to drop this smasher 2 days ago on Main Course, and here’s what the had to say:

“I was headed to LA for a show so I hit Saint up wanting to get in the studio together to work on some music,” UNIIQU3 says of the track’s genesis over email, “We made this song in one sitting. We came up with the vocals because it reflects the lifestyle. Being lit at a function. It’s a fun track. It’s every party go-er’s anthem. Parties should be judge free zones. You can get so lit to the point where nobody can’t tell you shit, and if they did who gives a fuck?”

“We really wanted to create something that paid homage to old school club music and our influences, as well as add our own little modern tinge to it,” Saint adds, “It came together very naturally, and it def shows in the track’s fun and carefree party nature.”

Thee Cool Cats from California and Arizona debut on Enormous Tunes with this hot 3 track EP.

The title track THEE WORST is a cover version of Jhené Aiko’s smash hit from 2014 and features the vocals of upcoming US singer Lika Morgan. This hot collab convinces with ace vocals, the outstanding piano lick that made the original big already and a solid portion of hard knocking nu disco beats and funky bass lines.

“MAN OF THE YEAR” is a sure dance floor filler with it’s vintage violin ensemble filter parts and the epic G house vocal chops on top.

Third track on the EP is “BRINGIN’ 88 BACK” – This hip hop influenced G club house track stands out with its bass drops and up-filtering synth sections. Make your crowd go nuts with any of those 3 tracks and spice up your DJ sets.
