Vancouver’s emerging low-end specialist, Rook Milo, has been building out his catalog with smooth jams like his single, “Outland,” and his remix of Drake’s “The Language.” Adding to his repertoire, Rook Milo has teamed up with the local designer, MMVIII, for an EP, and “Bodyroll” serves as the first listen. It’s dark, deep, and emotive – just how we like it. Listen for yourself below and stay tuned for the rest of the EP.

Our good buddy Ryan Lofty has taken quite a bit of time off from his busy schedule to encapsulate some of his favorite sounds perfect for the upcoming summer. He doesn’t stop there, almost every track in the mix is a slight edit of his own, putting his own signature touch on big room & prog house classics. This mix is not for the faint hearted nor the casual listen, so get ready to tear the walls down.

Our friend and fellow New York native dBerrie has been making some big moves lately with his recent spot on the massive Generation Wild tour alongside Deniz Koyu, Danny Avila and Mikael Weermets as well as with his forthcoming release “Zenith” on Flamingo Recordings, supported by the likes of David Guetta and Fedde Le Grand. So it was natural to assume that he would eventually make an appearance with a guest mix, and he definitely didn’t disappoint! Featuring hot tracks like Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s “Wakanda,” Zedd’s “Stache,” Sidney Samson’s “Torrent” and several of his own originals and edits, this mix is absolutely worth the listen.

Of the dance music coming out of Eastern Europe and Russia these days, it’s safe to say that Swanky Tunes have been at the top of the list in the past year or so, with their pumping Electro House tunes seeing releases on Spinnin’, Size, Mixmash, and many more. They’ll be co-headlining this Friday night at CONTROL with our pal LA Riots, who hasn’t played the Avalon for many moons.
