Dusky Debut 90’s Rave-Inspired Video for “Yoohoo”

Following the recent announcement of Dusky’s new single ‘Yoohoo’ on their 17 Steps label, the London duo present the memory-awakening video directed by Charlie Robins and animated by Lewis Kyle White.

Evoking the halycon days of early ‘90s rave and referencing many of the era’s iconic flyers for nights such as Dreamscape, Helter Skelter, Amnesia and Dance Planet, ‘Yoohoo’ draws on the duo’s deep love of classic house, techno and rave, putting their own unique spin on it for 2014. In the video, Robins places the track amongst a cosmic, computerised and Tron-like landscape, taking it on a nostalgic, misty-eyed journey through memorable imagery from a defining time in the UK’s electronic music culture.

Currently making their way back to London following a hugely successful run of dates in Australia, Dusky have also announced a UK & Ireland headline tour in the New Year. The tour will include dates in Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Bristol and Dublin before a one-off all-night set at The Laundry in London. To sign up for pre-sale tickets head to

Mysteryland USA announces 2015 curators

Mysteryland will return to upstate New York over Memorial Day weekend, May 22nd through 24th, 2015.

For its second year in the states, the festival will again take place on the grounds of the Bethel Woods Center For The Arts, site of the iconic 1969 Woodstock festival. The organizers have recruited select NYC venues to help program various stages. Brooklyn club Verboten is on board, as is long-running Manhattan nightspot Webster Hall

Adam Beyer‘s Drumcode and Jamie Jones presents Paradise will also bring in talent. In what can be seen as a nod to the event’s roots in Holland, Q-dance, a key player in the hardstyle revival, will also book a stage. French Express and BangOn! NYC have also been announced as curators. More lineup announcements will be made over the coming months.
