SBTRKT Shares Six Unreleased Songs
SBTRKT premiered six of his own unreleased tracks on Benji B’s BBC Radio 1 show last night.
SBTRKT’s most recent album ‘Wonder Where We Land‘ dropped in October after a long wait for his sophomore album. Luckily for fans, SBTRKT decided not to make everyone wait too long for more releases.

Marco Carola’s Music On Returns To North America For Three Month Residency At Miami’s Story
This Winter Marco Carola will bring his revered Music On party to Miami, where he will play at Miami’s Story for 13 consecutive Saturdays, starting December 6 and running through February 28.
Following its third summer in Ibiza Music On continues to be the talk of the island and dance music circles world-wide.
Music On is a true residency in every sense of the word. In an age where appearing four times a year counts as residency, Carola up-ends the trend, reverting to iconic residencies of old, where fans would come week in and week out, entrusting themselves to a DJ who can take them on a different journey every week.
The residency is a format that befits Carola, whose Music On sets typically last upwards of three hours. Transitioning from early in the night, through peaktime, and continuing into the dawn, Carola charts a journey through tempos and styles, across the house and techno spectrum.
Coinciding with the Music On Miami announcement Marco has completed another of of his annual hypnotizing Music On Mixes. Aired by Pete Tong on BBC Radio over the weekend, the mix provides a brief snapshot into what clubbers on the White Isle experienced this summer, and what people might expect from Music On Miami.
This summer Music On again created some of the best memories in Ibiza, from Carola’s unmissable marathons, to guests including Carl Cox, Jamie Jones and The Martinez Bros.
Listen to Glastrophobie’s “Red Lights” Remix
Glastrophobie takes Tiesto’s chart-topping single, “Red Lights,” and gives it a completely new feel in his airy rework. This German producer transforms this progressive house jam into a beautiful melodic track, filled with piano chords, a groovy bassline, and good vibes. If you’re a fan of his rendition, take a listen to Glastrophobie’s recent remixes and keep and eye out for more from this up-and-comer.
Pioneer drops CD player, adds touchscreen for XDJ-1000
Pioneer has a new digital deck on the way this month.
Dubbed the XDJ-1000, it boasts Pioneer’s iconic jogwheel and otherwise looks a whole lot like something out of the industry-standard CDJ line. There’s one major difference, though: as the name implies, it won’t take CDs. Music plays solely off of USBs and all of the usual track-selection functionality allowed by the company’s rekordbox music management software. Though it’s lost its CD deck, it’s gained a touch screen, which lets users search for music by pulling up a QWERTY keyboard. The streamlined music input also seems to have translated into a lower price point compared to their pricier cousins in the CDJ line. You can see the XDJ in action—four of them, to be precise—in the video below.
Pioneer will release the XDJ-1000 in November 2014 for an estimated retail price of €999.
