Jesse Rose releases a LOT of music. Between his 12×12 series of last year, an LP and remix LP in early 2014, he’s pushed through the summer (pun about to be intended) with his summer single “Fly Tonight” as well as viral remixes of Rufus, The Acid, and of course, Oliver Dollar’s hit of the season, “Pushing On.”
Well, he’s back with another single this time, where he’s joined forces with the new and somewhat mysterious identity that is Trozé. It comes as very little of a shock that Jesse jumped on this tune – an infectiously simple and extraordinarily tongue-in-cheek rap about chocolate? How could one resist? Jesse lends his finely-tuned knowledge of bumping house vibes to the catchy vocal and there you have it. An absolute smash and a real stand-out house tune amongst the masses and masses of bassline house tunes that you can’t tell apart.
I dare you to not get this stuck in your head. It’s out on Monday on Jesse’s label Play It Down – which recently did a takeover of Radio1 (you can listen HERE) and just launched their DripFM channel “Community” which you can likely access the full download of “Chocolate” and other upcoming label gems.
