James Blake debuts ‘Building It Still’ on his Radio 1 Residency
Dreamy bass experiments from the London songwriter.
James Blake debuted a brand new track on his Radio 1 Residency last night alongside cuts from Kode9 & The Spaceape, Joy Orbison and Aphex Twin.
‘Building It Still’ is a grainy, deconstructed piano-and-bass piece with dreamy Blakean vocal snatches – stream it below and listen back to the rest of the show on iPlayer or via CoreNews., which features tracks from his pal Airhead plus Flying Lotus, Four Tet and Nina Simone.
He also gave another airing to his own ’200 Press’, a new track debuted on a previous Residency show.
Salva is releasing the Peacemaker LP on October 29th
‘Peacemaker’, to be self-released, is the follow-up to 2011’s ‘Complex Housing’ and sees him collaborate with an impressive list of rappers.
Young Thug, A$AP Ferg, Freddie Gibbs, Problem, Schoolboy Q and Kurupt are among those to appear on the LP, alongside Californian artist Ruckazoid who features on ‘Freaky Dancing’.

Snowbombing announces first names for 2015
The 2015 edition of Snowbombing in Mayrhofen, Austria, will take place April 6th through 11th.
Snowbombing is one of the world’s most famous snow-centred electronic music festivals. It brings dozens of top-tier house and techno names to a small ski village in western Austria each year, throwing a mixture of indoor and outdoor parties. As RA’s Will Lynch found out last year, the vibe across Snowbombing’s five days and nights is “endlessly upbeat,” thanks in part to the festival’s ambitious booking policy.
Around 50 acts have been announced in the first lineup drop.Modeselektor, Âme and Carl Cox are among the names at the top of the bill. Other highlights include Cassy, Will Saul andHuxley. Skrillex, Fatboy Slim and Basement Jaxx are also confirmed. More acts will be added in the coming weeks and months.
