John Talabot and Axel Boman announce Talaboman single
The record is a joint venture between the two artists’ respective labels: Hivern Discs and Studio Barnhus. It features one original cut, “Sideral,” which first appeared on Talabot’s lauded DJ-Kicksmix in 2013. That mix was the first sighting of Talaboman: since then the pair have DJ’d together under the name, including a slot at RA’s party in Barcelona earlier this month. The track has also been remixed by Cologne producer Matt Karmil, who has already chalked up appearances on PNN and Beats In Space Records this year (including his debut album.)
Sideral is dedicated to Aleix “Sideral” Vergés, a popular DJ in Barcelona’s underground circle who died in 2006. “A truly fearless and idiosyncratic DJ, Sideral mixed genres wildly and brilliantly, uniting in the dance people from all kinds of musical backgrounds,” accompanying notes for the record say. “At a time when few DJs dared cross musical borders, he was a real inspiration for both the Barca native Talabot and the young Swede Boman, who lived in the city during the peak of Sideral’s reign.” The vinyl version will land on August 11th, with the digital release following on August 25th.

Studio Barnhus and Hivern Discs will release Sideral on August 11th, 2014.
Tiga’s new track is a “Bugatti”
Tiga is back in a brand new ‘Bugatti’.
The Canadian producer has shared a snippet of his new track on SoundCloud after playing it for the first time while doing a back-to-back set with Annie Mac at Glastonbury this weekend.
The track is set to be released via Tiga’s own Turbo Recordings label in the near future.

Tricky announces new album, Adrian Thaws; stream the excellent ‘Nicotine Love’ here
The indomitable Knowles West boy has just announced a new LP for !K7, due on September 8. The record is titled Adrian Thaws – his birth name – and will be his eleventh solo studio album.
According to !K7, the album was recorded in Tricky’s London studio. The list of collaborators is impressive: genre-twisting rapper Mykki Blanco, Micachu associate Tirzah and noirish beatmaker Blue Daisy are all confirmed to appear. Other guests include Francesca Belmonte, Nneka, Bella Gotti, and Oh Land.
The decision to put his birth name to the fore on this record was evidently a significant one for Tricky:
“Calling it Adrian Thaws is saying you don’t really know me. So many times people have tried to put a finger on me and every album I go to a different place.”
