Tomorrowland goes to two weekends
The dates for Tomorrowland 2014 have been announced, and it looks like you’ll have two chances to catch the festival next year.
Following in the footsteps of Ultra, Coachella and several other huge festivals, Tomorrowland has announced that next year’s iteration of the widely successful dance festival will span two weekends, with the first going down on July 18-20 and the second happening the following weekend from July 25-27.
Prices and line-up info have yet to be announced for the Belgium-based festival, but ‘pre registration tickets’ will go on sale on January 13. Head over to the Tomorrowland website for more information, and check out the official announcement video below.
Toro Y Moi serves ‘Sweet Tea’ under Sides of Chaz moniker
Chaz Bundick pours a cup.
Toro Y Moi has got a Christmas stocking filler on the way in the shape of a new Sides of Chaz 7″ vinyl. On one side is ‘Sweet Tea’, a psych-pop shambles that’s one part Ray Davies and two parts acid-addled California.
That song will be paired on the vinyl with another unreleased song titled ‘Take My Car’. The 7″ will be out via Fork and Sppoon Records on December 10 (you can pre-order it here).
After releasing Anything In Return, his third album as Toro Y Moi back in January, Bundick has been dribbling out product throughout the year under his Les Sins alias along with ephemera like an unlikely cover of Ricky Gervais’ ‘Slough’.

Download a New Track from Tensnake
Breakout German house artist Tensnake has been leaking stray glimpses of his forthcoming artist album for Virgin over the past handful of months, though we’re still no closer to uncovering any of that long-awaited LP’s official details. Unfortunately, that still has yet to change, but thankfully, we now have another new tune from the DJ/producer born Marco Niemerski, which is currently available as a free download. Called “No Relief,” the deep, slow-bouncing production features an appropriately subdued vocal performance from frequent Tensnake collaborator Fiora, and can be streamed and/or downloaded (for the exchange of an email) in the player below.
Young Turks release 2013 compilation
London label Young Turks have announced the imminent release of a compilation CD that will round up and comprise the label’s 12″ releases from 2013.
The label announced three two-track EPs earlier this year for the series, which aimed to showcase the work of close label associates including The XX, Koreless and Lost Scripts. All feature here, as do offerings from Pional and Short Stories taken from the (until now) unreleased third EP, which will also go to a separate 12″.
There is also space for two exclusives; produced by long-standing label staple SBTRKT and 2013 rising star, FKA twigs (pictured).
The Young Turks 2013 compilation is due for release this Monday, December 9.
