Listen: Hot Since 82 follows Disclosure with dark horse Essential Mix

If you needed any more proof that Daley Padley AKA Hot Since 82 is one of the hottest rising properties in house music, then look no further – the Leeds-based producer has just followed up Disclosure’s barnstorming Essential Mix of last week with two hours of twisted, techy late-night funk.

Liberally sprinkled with new material of his own like Hurt You, Insane I Know and The End, Padley’s mix also dips into tribal sounds from Wade, Dixon’s moody reworks of Ian Pooley and Agoria, and Chris Lattner’s hypnotic remix of the Moby classic Go.

Hot Since 82 has a big year ahead – with a nomination for Best Newcomer in the Ibiza DJ Awards, a stonking new remix of Green Velvet’s Bigger Than Prince, and a summer that features dates from Ibiza to Argentina (winding up with a stint on Australia’s Stereosonic tour), it’s looking like Padley’s 31st year will be his best yet.
