The Dirt #126: aRod + Toks

Another week brings you another set of 10 free downloads from us at GDD, but this time around it’s the always tasteful aRod, and myself, Toks, on Dirt duty for our 126th edition. As per usual, we have a little something for everyone, so head after the jump to grab some quality music to compliment your weekend – we know you’ll need it.

aRod’s Picks

Felix da Housecat – I Wanna Be A Lesbian (Human Life Remix)
You can always count on Felix for a good, sleazy tune. Big ups to Human Life for upping the sleaze factor on this dirty remix.

Viceroy – Sunny Daze (Club Edit)
CLASSICS ON CLASSICS ON CLASSICS. Viceroy released his version of the Evelyn Champagne King classic “Love Come Down” back in 2011 & two years later he gives the track a new club twist. Yes, please and thank you.

Clubfeet - Remind Me (Röyksopp Cover)
It’s hard to believe this Röyksopp classic is 11 years old! Clubfeet set the wow factor on high on this brilliant, spacey cover.

BLUR - Boys & Girls (Yuksek ‘DJ Friendly’ Edit)
MORE CLASSICS! “Boys & Girls” is one of THE raddest tunes of the 90s & Yuksek brings the alt rock classic to the dancefloor. BOOM!

T-Pain - Can’t Believe It (Figgy Remix)
Our boy Figgy is one of the smoothest producers out there. We’re loving his vibe lately & this T-Pain remix is no exception. SUPER BALLIN’.

Toks’ Picks

Joel Compass – Astronaut (Gorgon City Remix)
Gorgon City goes deep with some peak-time grooves perfectly complimenting the Joel Compass’ vocal.

Kyogi – Higher
16-year-old Kyogi has been putting out nothing but quality. He channels some Flume-esque vibes for this funky mid-tempo jam.

Klaves – So Fine
The emerging Polish talent, Klaves, is quickly becoming a new favorite with his distinctive, yet varied, style of house. Watch out for his forthcoming EP on Symbols Recordings.

Sweater Beats & Arnold – Jello Drip
Sweater Beats & Arnold offer up a bassy downtempo gem with an inventive harp-like arpeggio glimmering throughout. Shouts to LFTF for the premiere!

BASECAMP – Emmanuel
Recently discovered the group BASECAMP and was pleasantly surprised by the catchy, R&B type vocals over some dark, low-end heavy undertones. “Emmanuel” has been racking up the plays in my iTunes, can’t wait for more tunes.
