Moderat premieres new track and announces UK tour dates
Moderat are now just weeks away from releasing the eagerly anticipated follow up to their self-titled debut album.
‘Moderat II’ will be released on August 2 and the LP, a collab between Modeselektor and Apparat, is set to be premiered at this year’s Eastern Electrics.
In the run up to the release the trio have premiered a second track from the album called ‘This Time’ and quite frankly it’s a dazzling piece of ambient electronica.
As well as revealing a new track, Moderat have announced a set of live UK tour dates that include gigs in London, Bristol, Edinburgh, Dublin and one at The Warehouse Project in Manchester.

Max Cooper headed to North America this weekend for quick 2-date tour
London-based Max Cooper is coming to North America for a quick jaunt this weekend. As usual, Cooper will perform live—the same lengthy, all-originals sets of emotive techno that earned him a place in the “Best Live Acts” poll on Resident Advisor last year. On Friday, Cooper hits San Francisco’s Public Works, playing alongside the much darker moods of Sandwell District man Regis. Then on Saturday, he’ll cross the border into Toronto to join the decks with Robert Babicz at Footwork.
FaltyDL Launches New Label, Blueberry, Previews First Release
After starting us off with one of the year’s earliest album successes in Hardcourage, Brooklyn producer FaltyDL has announced the launching of his own imprint, Blueberry, and revealed that its first release will arrive this fall from newcomer Brrd. FaltyDL had in fact tipped us off to Brrd and the coming launch of his own label in a High Five feature back in January, but now that it’s all official, the East Coast producer has teased that releases are in the works from Luke Vibert, Todd Osborn, and Dego. Brrd will inaugurate the label when his Towers/Anointing EP drops in September. That record’s tracklist is included below, along with streams of two forthcoming cuts. (via Resident Advisor)
