Disclosure announce full details of debut album Settle: Jessie Ware, Jamie Woon and more feature
Disclosure have announced full details of their much-hyped debut album, Settle.
Released on June 3 via PMR (and, as with PMR’s last big album,Jessie Ware’s Devotion, out via Cherrytree / Interscope in the States), it features the already-heard collaborations with AlunaGeorge (‘White Noise’), Sam Smith (‘Latch’) and Eliza Doolittle (‘You & Me’) as well as spots from Jessie Ware, Ed Mac, recent Polydor signing Sasha Keable (who has previously worked with Zinc and covered James Blake’s ‘The Wilhelm Scream’, Jamie Woon, Ed Mac and London Grammar.
The duo have been releasing records since 2010, but came into their own in 2012, with a series of well-received releases (‘Latch’, ‘Tenderly’, EP The Face and their remix of Jessie Ware’s ‘Running’) establishing them as one of the UK’s most talked-about acts.

Update: Speaking to Disclosure’s press team, it looks like the 12 tracks below will 100% make the cut. Two other tracks, which were in a previously posted tracklist, are awaiting confirmation.

Mad Decent announces Summer block party lineups
Having recently admitted that ‘Harlem Shake’ pretty much saved the label, Mad Decent is again making headlines by announcing their massive block party schedule.
The summer block party tour has expanded to 13 cities and will include an impressive and thorough line-up of Mad Decent artists.
Big acts like Zeds Dead, Dillon Francis, Nadastrom, RL Grime, and Skream top the bill. Diplo will also be present at every show, showcasing his genre-transcending Major Lazer project.
The block parties will resemble ‘large festival undertakings’ and will include a significant amount of on site activities outside of just the music. Tickets go on sale this weekend and you can buy them here.

Following testimonials from Giorgio Moroder, Todd Edwards, Nile Rodgers, Pharrell, and Panda Bear, here’s the next installment in Daft Punk‘s interview series with collaborators from their new record, Random Access Memories. This one is with Canadian rapper, singer, pianist, and producer Chilly Gonzales. He talks about the use of harmony on the album, previewing some of the chord progressions on the tracks.

Pet Shop Boys unveil track from new album
On July 15 Pet Shop Boys will release their 12th studio album ‘Electric’ and today a track from the LP has appeared on YouTube.
‘Axis’ is a full on electro adventure and like the rest of the album it is produced by Stuart Price, otherwise known as Jacques Lu Cont and Les Rhythms Digitales.
In an interview with Spin, Price said that the LP is very close to being done and spoke about his feelings towards it: “I’m finishing mixing the album this week. It’s been one of those collaborations where I think we both feel like we got something out of it that’s greater than the sum of its parts.”

CBS Radio and Astralwerks launch nationwide search for best female DJ
CBS RADIO today announced a partnership with Astralwerks to introduce “She Can DJ – America,” a nationwide talent search to find the country’s top female DJ/Producer. After successful programs in Australia and throughout Europe, “She Can DJ” will launch in major markets nationwide this July.
Following local competitions run by CBS RADIO stations in New York, Los Angeles,
Chicago, San Francisco, Houston, Boston, Detroit, Phoenix, San Diego, Charlotte and Las Vegas, 12 semi-finalists will be chosen, including one wild-card competitor to vie for a grand prize that includes a recording contract with Astralwerks, and headline a tour through the CBS RADIO markets that took part in the competition.
