Later this year, the German duo will club up with Apparat for asecond Moderat full-length. Their 50Weapons imprint, meanwhile, has been firing on all cylinders, lining up releases from Cosmin TRG, Bambounou and Benjamin Damage. The 72 minute film arrives courtesy of filmmakers Holger Wick and Romi Agel, and promises “a post-German reunification movie, a travel report, and a portrait of the special friendship between Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary all in one”. Apparat and Ellen Allien are among the talking heads recruited for the film. A trailer is below, and shows the pair performing live, tinkering with gongs in the studio and bombing in hotel pools.
The film will see release on May 3 on DVD. A host of public screening have been announced across Europe, including a broadcast at the pair’s show at London’s Roundhouse in May – see below for dates. [via Electronic Beats]
