[Review] Cielo 10 Year Anniversary with Todd Terje

For those out on the west coast, Cielo is a perfectly sized club in New York’s meatpacking district that easily has the best sound in the city, and arguably the country. Well, last month Cielo officially turned the big one-oh and celebrated with 10 amazing events and twice as much talent. Find out all about it after the jump!

Maayan Nidam, Cesar Merveille, Ryan Crosson, Manik, The Martinez Brothers, Wolf & Lamb, Soul Clap, Tania Vulcano, Willie Graff, Fil Sonik, Horse Meat Disco, Victor Calderone, Tedd Patterson, Nicolas Matar, Danny Krivit and Todd Terje all performed in events that spanned half the month of January and celebrated the club’s longstanding history and success with only the best music and vibes.

The finale of events ended the celebration with a bang on January 31st featuring Todd Terje and Danny Krivit.  Funky disco, sexy deep house, indie dance and some great techy feels kept me and all my fellow club goers dancing until almost dawn. Definitely went wild for “Rhumba” by Le Knight Club, “This One’s For The Children” by Jimmy Edgar, “Moon Jocks N Prog Rocks (Terje’s Even Stiv-En Dub Version)” By Mungolian Jetset, “It’s The Music (Alden Tyrell Remix)” by Murphy Jax feat. Mike Dunn and  “Up Jumped The Devil (6th Borough Project Jumped Up Jam)” by John Davis And The Monster Orchestra. I can’t wait to see what Cielo brings out in it’s next decade!
