SBTRKT readies live album

The masked man formerly known as Aaron Jerome says viaTwitter that he has sent in live audio for mastering, with a release “coming out in December.” While that’s all we know now, he promises more information soon.

SBTRKT recently shared the prickly ‘Terminal’; stream that track below, and read our interview with his collaborators in Little Dragon.

DJ Zinc has announced new EP, Only for Tonight

Six tracks long, it’s billed as the latest instalment in Zinc’s “Crack House” series of EP’s – loosely speaking, a London take on electro-house that Zinc’s been making and DJing for the last couple of years. A press release from Rinse promises that Only for Tonight will see Zinc “smoothing the edges and crafting tracks that play sweetness off against raw power”, in “the most wide-ranging of his crack house transmissions to date.”

You can stream two cuts from the EP, including its Sasha Keable-featuring title track, below, and stream Zinc’s recent FACT mix here.

Download a New Song from Nicolas Jaar

Over the weekend, the ceaselessly unpredictable Nicolas Jaar shared a new track via his label’s SoundCloud, credited to himself and one mysterious collaborator operating under the guise of Theatre Roosevelt, which is purported to be the NYC artist channeling the ghost of Theodore Roosevelt. Like most things Jaar, the new tune—”The Ego”—is equal parts strange, beautiful, well-crafted, and utterly enjoyable. Best yet, Jaar and his Clown & Sunset imprint have offered “The Ego” up for free download via the player below.
