TAMARA SKY’s PICKS:
Weekend Wolves – NY
Hailing from Hamburg, Germany, Weekend Wolves‘ sinister music sounds like a dark giant nostalgic stomping ghost. Even thought they’ve been around for a couple of years now, they still haven’t gotten the attention they deserve. This hypnotizing track is full of bass and haunting background voices. Make sure you check out all of their tracks!
Ultrademon – Step Into The Liquid (It’s A Trap)
Ultrademon is the poster child of the sea punk movement & has successfully contributed in giving it a defining sound. If you were ghetto raver fish… this would be the soundtrack of yo’ life!
KLOAKS – Dreams Are Gone
New York’s KLOAKS is the brand new mysterious project of Michael Vincent (of Designer Drugs) and Darren Hanson (Monolith) form Sex Cult Records. This dark-shoegaze track is the only one they’ve released so far… leaving you gagging for more. But don’t worry… there WILL be more!
Explorateur Yétis – Well (Triple Six Sound Club Remix)
The young and mega talented Tripple Six Sound Club is the slap in the face you’ve been craving. Already a SuperSuper favorite, he creates a unique and sophisticated blend of future bass, footwork, warehouse, & anything with ultramodern low end frequencies.
Several Symptoms – Stylist
This obscure single from London based Several Symptoms called Stylist, is calm but with a cutting industrial aggression full of nostalgia. Just close your eyes and let the Succubus take you away.
Eddie Thoenick – I Wanna Freak You (LOW STEPPA Remix)
Will Bailey drops another under the UK garage moniker Low Steppa, this time taking the classic funky styles of Eddie Thoenick. This one is sure to keep em sweatin til’ the club closes.
Dillon Francis – Masta Blasta (THE REBIRTH)
I debuted this one earlier this week, a serious crusher from the homey Dillon Francis. His moombah anthem gets an overhaul through the streets of TRAP. This one has already seen some serious support and will probably all summer.
Andrea Doria – Bucci Bag (Mumbai Science Edit)
Our favorite Belgians do an absurdly epic version of the the Andrea Doria’s sassy ‘Bucci Bag.’ Make no mistake on it being called an ‘Edit,’ Mumbai Science flex what they do best in this huge techno monster. A must have for all DJ sets and expect to hear this one across the festival season.
Peo De Pitte & Jay Robinson – The Bagger
Hands down the biggest tune on the Fool’s Gold Club House compilation, the collaborative force of Peo De Pitte and Jay Robinson make for a rave-worthy product in ‘The Bagger,’ already receiving praise as the next ‘Stickin’ and without a doubt one of the top tunes this summer. Don’t sleep on Peo De Pitte’s Bagger Summer Mix!
Rudimental – Feel The Love (Gorgon City Remix)
The new collaborative project between Foamo and RackNRuin, Gorgon City is quickly becoming a dominating force in many sets across the board, and this free remix is no exception to your arsenal. Look for more hugeness from GC this year!
