Last night, in my everlasting search for new music, I went off on a lengthy Deep House tangent and fortuitously ended up landing on Amirali. Amirali is an Iranian Canadian producer who was signed to Crosstown Rebels without having a single commercial release. Impressive.
Amirali’s first single, “Beautiful World”, is described by Crosstown Rebels as “a captivating slice of nu-wave wonky electronic melancholic house with seismic dancefloor appeal”. Well said. Nu-wave wonky melancholic house…SO hot right now. Amirali’s vocals have been compared to Depeche Mode but also have a deep, dark & futuristic Fischerspooner feel to them that lures you in and puts you in a dreamlike, spaced out trance out on the dancefloor.
