Miami Horror

After a number of disappointing full lengths from some of my favorite indie dance acts this year, I can’t tell you how excited I am for the debut album of Miami Horror this Friday. Following the trend of LCD Soundsystem and The Dead Weather, Miami Horror has been streaming their new album “Illumination” all week on USTREAM. After previewing “Illumination” repeatedly, I’m going to jump the gun and place it in my Top 5 of the year; not a single bad tune to be found! Stream the entire album above or check out this link to my personal favorite from “Illumination”.

Miami Horror – I Look To You (feat Kimbra)
Breathy female vocals and funky basslines, I wish I could dance dirty enough to this one.

In other news, be sure to check out Hot Biscuits this Friday for the release of my first mixtape in over a year and half alongside mixes from ///BONES and Troy as well!

SOOOO fired up for this. Stoked to see that Alan Palomo is featured on 3 tracks (I always preferred him as VEGA more so than Neon Indian; this will be the closest we'll get to any new VEGA material). This album is gonna RULE.

Golden Filter was originally supposed to do the vocals on "I Look to You" but got pulled. Kimbra was a brilliant choice to replace. When I hear her voice on this track, I feel like a lightning bolt just hit the tip of my penis.

Can't wait for MH's live set @ the Pacific Festival, too:

    …and ///BONES + Dr.Schlongo's sets, too.

    [Shameless GDD plug…YESH!]

I've been looking forward to this album for a while now. Glad to hear Alan Palomo's worked on some of the tracks. I love his VEGA stuff. Can't wait to listen to this.
